Chokoloskee Bay Area

I launched at 6 and headed southeast in Chokoloskee bay towards the Lopez. At high tide around 7 I caught my first red of the morning on a Zara spook Jr. The reds were hanging with some smaller schools of mullet and that's where I concentrated my fishing. I caught 3 reds, lost 2 and caught a few decent size snook all on top waters. Around an oyster bar I hooked up with a very big snook probably over 25lbs and lost it with a head shake that straightened out my hooks. I had just replaced my hooks with some 4x mustads I picked up to try out, I couldn't believe it. I'll go back to using Owner hooks. Anyway I caught some nice fish today and I'm happy with that. I made it back to my place around 11.
