Launched early again around 6 with Mike. We began the day fishing the oyster bars in Chokoloskee bay and had a blast catching some snook and big jacks on topwaters. After, we drift fished riding the tide out from the bay and headed to the Lopez River area looking for tarpon but they were scarce and only saw a couple roll. The water color was real dark tannin colored and very warm so I'm sure that had something to do with it. We didn't start to make our way back till around noon when the tide changed and made it back around 2:30. During the course of the day we caught more snook, a couple of jewfish and snappers. I poled right over some redfish a couple of times spooking them not seeing them until it was to late because of the water color. Other than being very warm and at times the bugs were brutal it was still a great day out there.
